Short-Term Summer Abroad Program
The Short-Term Summer Abroad Program offers students a unique opportunity to gain international experience without the commitment of a full semester abroad. Designed to fit into a summer schedule, these programs combine academic coursework with immersive cultural experiences, allowing students to broaden their global perspective, build valuable skills, and earn academic credit while exploring the world.
Spanish Internship & Language Immersion in Cuzco, Peru May 30th - June 27th 2020
Program Highlights
- Live, study, and intern in Cuzco, the historic capital of the Inca Empire and a UNESCO World Heritage Site
- Gain practical and meaningful global work experience while improving your Spanish Proficiency
- Earn up to 7 credit (to fulfill G.E. requirements and/or complete Spanish major/minor credits)
- Visit Machu Picchu (includes train ride and overnight stay)
- Explore the vibrant city of Cuzco and the beautiful Sacred Valley region: visit pre-Columbian sites, Spanish colonial buildings, local markets, hiking trails, restaurants, and museums
- Enjoy Cuzco’s most important festival, Inti Raymi (Festival of the Sun)
- Eat amazing food in one of the world’s best culinary destinations
Program Cost
- $3298 --- includes tuition (6-7 credits), custom internship placement, excursions (including an overnight trip to Machu Picchu), housing, meals (3/day), and airport pickup.
- Application and Deposit ($300) deadline January 15, 2020
